Valerie and I had the most extraordinary friendship spanning over 24 years and I adored every moment spent in her company. We met in Australia at my brother’s wedding to her cousin’s daughter. One month later I moved to London, where I lived for a few years. Ken and Valerie wholeheartedly welcomed me into their lives with open and beautiful hearts. After I moved back to Australia we remained close and visited each other frequently. I have so many wonderful memories of Valerie, but what I loved about her the most was her ability to go through life with such good cheer and optimism. She was kindness incarnate. A beautiful, generous and fun loving fairy godmother. She is excruciatingly missed and will always have a special place in my heart. We will meet again Mrs Walker. Rest In Peace.
